How do I tell if what I am buying is legal?

Distinguishing quality, regulated product apart from the grey market imposters is different in every region. In Canada, legal products must be manufactured in a Health Canada licensed processing facility, check out ours Cicatrix Labs

For the Latin American market, our products are produced in a Bogota based GMP certified facility holding goverment issued cannabis processing licences.

When buying cannabis topicals in Canada, look for the following features which are mandatory in the legal market; child proof packaging, clearly labelled package size, clearly labelled ingredients and mg per ml or total mg per container of each cannabinoid present.

In Canada CBD and THC are subject to the same laws and restrictions, but this is not the case in other regulated markets. In the United States, hemp derived CBD is not regulated and available in retail locations ranging from convenience stores to cosmetics stores, yet this lack of regulation and stardardized labelling means consumers are often purchasing hemp seed oil products with zero cannabinoid content and misled to believe these are CBD products.

Hemp seed oil certainly has its place in cosmetics as a moisturiser as it is high in omega fatty acids and has a small molecular size making it less likely to congest the skin. It does not however, have any of the anti-inflammatory or anti-microbial properties that have been attributed to CBD in scientific literature. Know what you are buying and read those labels!
